How to read this
- Frigate runs object detection on a low-res stream at roughly 5 fps per camera - that's what these limits size. Recording the full-res stream is cheap by comparison.
- A dedicated Coral or Hailo detector is the reliable path and barely sips power. Intel iGPUs work via OpenVINO but share the chip with everything else, so the counts are more conservative.
- AMD Vega / Radeon 680M iGPUs have no solid Frigate detector path today - those boxes show "not supported"; pair them with a Coral/Hailo.
- An add-on detector replaces the iGPU as the detector - Frigate uses one detector at a time - so the limit shown is the detector's, whichever you pick.
